Another fabulous day for the Qld FBI (Food & Beverage Industry) networking meeting.
Held at magnificent Spicers Clovelly Estate at Montville, they put on a fabulous spread of sweets treats for everyone to enjoy.
If you haven’t been to Spicers Clovelly Estate, pencil in a visit for dinner or better still – overnight, as it is one of the most beautiful locations on the Sunshine Coast. The property is immaculately maintained and with sprawling views that can be appreciated from the various garden vantage points – you won’t be in a hurry to leave – as indeed I wasn’t, being one of the last ‘die-hards’ to leave after many were long gone.
There was a great mix of industries, producers, media, government representatives as well as representatives from local restaurants; La Baroque (Buderim), Pomodora’s on Coral (Maleny) and Wild Rocket @ Misty’s (Montville) were the ones I spotted, but pretty sure there were others as well.
There was a showcase by Kim and Owen from Hinterland Zucchini Flowers, David from Maleny Dairies and Peter from Cedar Creek Farm as well as a few food related industry reps, mingling and talking about their wares.
Other spotted were Karen from Montville Coffee, Matilda from Gourmet Afrika, Julie from Slow Food Hinterland, Councillor Lew Brennan from Sunshine Coast Regional Council, Peter from Montville Spring Water, Wayne from Feduberry Foods, Marie the fig lady and so many others – my mind is like a sieve, while I know that I spoke to copious others, so sorry for all of you I have missed.
