Sunshine Coast growers produce an endless list of rare and exotic edible, nutritional and medicinal herbs as well as the more traditional herbs. Some herb farms offer tours, or in the least, growing hints and their own extensive knowledge. Cut herbs for cooking are available in abundance at any of the local markets when in season. The more common herbs, such as coriander, parsley, basil, sage, thyme, mint, rosemary and chives are available year round as most markets, but you will also find herbs such as Vietnamese mint and Thai basil seasonally. Rarer herbs are available through specialist growers.
