The Sunshine Coast Food Directory has an abundant list in the way of vegetable growers on the Sunshine Coast and Surrounds. There are at least a dozen varieties of leafy greens, flavoursome vine-ripened tomatoes, mushrooms alongside some quite unusual choices such as the infamous Pimentos de Padron – the Russian Roulette Chilli! Asian cuisine has also inspired the growth of a multitude of leafy greens such as bok choi, mizuna and kale. Beetroot, Australian garlic, zucchinis, zucchini flowers, carrots, chillies – so many vegetables, many grown organically. Markets are the best source for fresh produce, but there are also a growing number of ‘boxed’ delivery services and online ordering facilities. No excuse not to get fresh and local!
